Review of Pandora's Box (1929) by Angelguts A — 28 Jul 2007
A Total Louise Brooks Junkie and whilst this is easilly her best and certainley most famous work - let it not over shadow her other masterpieces.
A shame the ending sends it right out of date, but the strength of Louise Brooks'persona is more than enough to make up for any inconsistances. Beautifully laid out the story of a young woman who brings doom to pretty much whomever comes into contact with her life. Alluring, seductive and at the same time almost perfectly innocent in the wake of the death that folows her.
With or without music this masterpiece just flows and swallows you up.
