Review of Outlaw King (2018) by Dave G — 29 Nov 2018
This raw, gritty film about Robert de Bruce is well cast and has realistic period customer, battle armor, and battle scenes. Chris Pine delivers one of his finest performances. Despite mixed reviews, it's good to finally see positive word of mouth bringing people to Netflix to watch this engaging film.
Aside from Chris Pine, the other actors who truly bring their 'A' game are Aaron Taylor-Johnson as James "Black" Douglas, Lord of Douglas; Tony Curran as Angus Og Macdonald, Lord of Islay; and Florence Pugh as Lady Elizabeth de Burgh.
