Review of Ong Bak 3 (2010) by Adam C — 30 May 2011
This is the 3rd and last ong bak movie and definately the worst. I was truely disappointed since it was his last movie before becoming a monk. The fist two were amazing but this should have never been made.
The movie starts with him being tortured and nearly beaten to death. Somehow, this causes him to be crippled for about 50% of the movie. He complains and tries to regain his strength but he is completely hopeless.
I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say that the scene that shows him regaining his strength is extremely dumb. I think the biggest distraction for me was when Tony Jaa had grown a beard.
After he heals, he learns a learns a weird fighting style which I have never seen before. I know a little muay thai and muay boran but I've never seen these moves before. This movie is not awful but it is also not worth buying.
I recommened renting this movie.
