Review of Oliver Twist (2005) by Liisa W — 26 Jul 2007
Okay theres something about a good charles dickens movie! and this is not the gay musical version, so no worries there (i love musicals, but the whole "oliver oliver" song is just nauseating. anyway the acting is brilliant (especially the little boys who play oliver and the artful dodger, they are TOO CUTE!) and the cinematography is breathtaking.
I wasnt a fan of roman polanski before (if you dont know what I mean, then check out his weird biography and you'll find out) but now I think that girl was just asking for it bc roman is great! the film is what id call "modern dickensian" because its exciting and upbeat throughout.
Id recommend watching it, your IQ points just might go up :).
