Review of Ode to My Father (2014) by Daniel L — 18 Dec 2015
You can try not to cry. But it won't work. Gukje Shijang is a wonderfully written movie that can and will make viewers cry on more than occasion. I'd watch this alone or with the understanding types if you're the type that feels the movies you watch.
Capturing a lifetime of Korean history through the eyes of a man who wants nothing more than to be reunited with his father, and stand by his family.
