Review of Obvious Child (2014) by Shahar T — 27 Mar 2015
Obvious Child is a beautiful film with strong messages about the truth of feminism, taking on the subject of abortion and turning into an incredibly heart warming picture. Jenny Slate gives a stellar performance, above and beyond for a first time leading lady.
She conveys a child's fears and aspirations as well as the heartbreak and pressure of her breakup and surprise pregnancy, proving unapologetically, comically and boldly that she will live her life the way she wants to live it, staying positive and lovable throughout.
