Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by Bas V — 24 Sep 2012

I love the madness of this movie. They way all elements - the characters, actors, script, soundtrack, camera angles/movement - contribute to the madness makes this movie an absolute masterpiece.

Woody Harrelson plays a serial killer, not long after he played a simpleton in the series Cheers, which makes this performance all the more interesting. But infinite credit must go to all the cast, because every single character is portrayed intensely by each actor.

The movie seems like one big adrenaline-rushed trip, with real-life scenes combined by cartoons, tv shots, morphing faces and the like. The soundtrack contains some exceptional good music, of which "The Future" by Leonard Cohen is another favorite.

Highly recommended for the not-so-faint-of-heart movie fans! :).

And oh yes: "only love will kill the demon".
