Review of Mission: Impossible II (2000) by Johnathan M — 27 Jun 2012
By far the best film in the franchise, mixing the visual action of John Woo with Tom Cruise in the sort of action hero role he must have always dreamed of, and has subsequently tried to recapture. Thandie Newton is cool and beautiful while Dougray Scott is evil and menacing.
The action is stylish and works perfectly in this setting. Top drawer stuff.
