Review of Miss Austen Regrets (2008) by Amanda P — 03 Aug 2008
A really compelling, well-done story about Jane Austen as an intelligent, somewhat scandalous woman of her day. Not entirely historically accurate, but considering how little we know about her, that's not surprising.
All in all, I'd say - skip the horrid clap trap that was "Becoming Jane" (why Anne Hathaway? Why?!!), and track this one down instead.
