Review of Metallica: Some Kind of Monster (2004) by James D — 10 Nov 2007
Wow. Now as the biggest Metallica fan, this is painful to watch in places. This film takes you inside the band at the most volatile time in their career, close to breakup they battle through everything to come out the other side stronger than ever.
This film is a role reversal as in many places you find yourself feeling for Lars where James has always been the the symbol of cool in the band. If you're a fan it's a must to see this, if a casusal aquaintance this works just as well.
