Review of Medicine for Melancholy (2009) by Marc R — 04 Nov 2016
Depicts black people who are actually normal; a real miracle of filmmaking these days. Its perceptive views on race and class, charismatic performances, and beautiful, desaturated photography are just icing on the cake.
Sad that a film like this gets no audience, but Tyler Perry continues to make millions off utter nonsense, from mostly black people's wallets no less. Something is clearly wrong there.
