Review of Me Him Her (2016) by Aka A — 16 Apr 2017
This film may be insane and may not work for some people. This is the type of film where you have to either hate it or love it. It doesn't work on many levels but the movie fully acknowledges it's crazier ideas.
At times the performance by Emily Meade is laughable but is quickly followed by the altogether charming performance by Dustin Milligan, as well as a somewhat touching performance by Luke Bracey. This film may have too much sarcasm for some and may have ideas or camera work that may put some off.
But it was a movie that means something that behind its insanity could actually help someone who was going through situations similar too the characters presented. Landis fully embraces the quirkier sides of Los Angelos and most likely wrote this based on many feeling he himself had while he lived in LA.
