Review of McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) by Michael H — 10 Apr 2008
Possibly the true great American movie of our time. On a par with Citizen Cane in its consiousness. A tragic, yet sobering alegory for modern-day capitalism. Julie Christie is right on, full of piss and vineger and Warren Beatty delivers one of the most powerful performances of his careerĂ¢??a precursor to his crowning achievement as John Reed in Reds.
