Review of M*A*S*H (1970) by Kenneth S — 19 Feb 2009
Robert Altman's film about a surgial unit in the Korean War is a real comedy classic if ever there was one. Not a moment goes by in this film that doesn't at least generate a chuckle. Dark comedy abounds as some of the best surgeons in the Army act of their own free will, turning the place into a madhouse.
Based on a novel by Richard Hooker and the inspiration for the classic television series of the same name.
