Review of Mad Max (1979) by Ben F — 13 May 2015
The original is fantastic, almost because it is only one foot into its post-apocalyptic world. While the following three films stage progressively more distorted societies, the first film is very much a shadow of the world we currently know.
In that sense, it's a truly isolated origin story, segueing into what Miller cooked up next.
