Review of Lymelife (2008) by Benn B — 25 Jun 2009
Not your traditional "the suburban life isn't all it seems on the surface" flick. I generally love films that tackle this subject, but it's almost getting overdone ... not so here though. Very well done and a great cast. The Culkin Brothers are especially good. There is a great scene where two parents are arguing and it's intercut with the eyes of their youngest son as tears start to well up ... powerful. Well done all-around and some touches of humor lighten this movie up a great deal. I will say though ... I felt the ending could've been done a bit differently.
Worth searching out! Saw it at The Dundee in Omaha and I always enjoy hitting a movie there! Be careful you don't want out into traffic upon leaving!! :).
