Review of Love Crazy (1941) by Jakki J — 05 Dec 2008

I turned on TCM one afternoon and was fortunate to stumble across this hilarious, madcap comedy. The story revolves around a married couple in love, preparing to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary.

The husband runs into an old girlfriend and finds himself in one compromising position after another. Due to this misunderstanding, the wife decides to file for divorce and now the husband's only solution to stop the proceedings is to pretend he is insane.

Naturally, this backfires and chaos ensues. Basically it ends up with William Powell in drag. Very funny and quite entertaining from beginning to end!
