Review of London Town (2017) by Josh C — 07 Oct 2016
The director could've easy used The Clash as a crutch and made the whole movie about the band (for the record I love The Clash) But he wisely did not. He instead allowed the band to be the at the center of the backdrop, which was punk music and the scene that accompanied it.
The movie's main focus is on a teenage boy who stumbles into the scene and how he's influenced by it and how he ultimately borrows confidence from one of its biggest figures Joe Strummer. Lots of coming of age movies have been produced but this one stands alone as a fresh and entertaining new approach!
