Alessandro Nivola + Frances McDormand = a surprisingly sexy pair. Satisfies both my instinctual affinity for stories about repressed graduate students jumping head-first into a life of fuck-it-all hedonism and my less explicable affinity for intra-family threesomes.
Wonderful all around, except for the presence of the aggressively bland Christian Bale, who is never not irritating, except in The Machinist.
