Bring a hanky, Ozu has done it again. I know that everyone loves Tokyo Story, and cherishes it as the Top 50 of all-time masterpiece it truly is, but do not neglect this amazing film about an aging, single woman that is being pushed to find a husband before she gets too old to find one.
Hara and Ryu give incredible performances, while Ozu shows his total grasp of telling stories about people and their humanity.
