Review of Last Night (2010) by Marcdoyle — 07 May 2011
Even though we were just 2 of 6 people in the theater on Saturday night of opening weekend, I thought this movie should have been given a much wider release and a marketing push. Knightly and Worthington are excellent, as is Knightly's old flame Guillame Canet.
In a much smaller role, Griffin Dunne is extremely effective. He seems a little slick and libertarian, but offers the most unexpectedly "moral" perspective of anyone. The film focuses on the "big" issues and doesn't dwell on the petty issues of getting caught like most movies of its ilk generally do.
The ending is excellent...
