Review of Lakeview Terrace (2008) by Philip R — 11 May 2013
At first, I wasn't sure that Lakeview Terrace was something I wanted to see but I did and thought this was a very entertaining thriller that Director Neil LaBute made. I thought Samuel L. Jackson's performance as Abel Turner, the very strict tight-ass neighbor/ LAPD officer, was very intense and one of the best performances of his work I've seen.
I thought the performances of Patrick Wilson (Watchmen) and Kerry Washington (Ray) as the interracial couple Chris and Lisa Mattson were good. On a minor note, they should have made this into an R-rated movie instead of a PG-13.
When you watch this movie, you'll understand what I mean.
