Review of Lacombe, Lucien (1974) by Ben K — 14 Dec 2008
One of the finest examinations of the banality of evil ever filmed and also a realistic look at those French who collaborated with the Nazi's during WWII. Blaise is perfectly cast for this since he was not an a professional actor and could perfectly convey the sense of blankness the character required in a way a professional actor could not.
Blaise would tragically die a year later in a car accident.
