Review of Lacombe, Lucien (1974) by Keiko N — 04 Aug 2009
Low key, but slow burning with strong, passionate account of nation vs nation in Vichy France. Documents the conditions under which facsism prospers. The lead is, as one charchter says, difficult to totally despise. His blank naivete is affecting.
