Review of Kumaré (2012) by Mary C — 16 Jul 2012

I liked this one. It has a simple premise, but it does deliver a few surprises. I expected it to be a sort of Sacha Baron Cohen kind of film, but it was much more kind-hearted. Some may be put off by the film's overall message -- that we don't need "gurus" or other spiritual leaders to help us find the right path.

Instead, the film asserts that we can direct our own lives. It celebrates community and really listening to the people around you. Definitely recommend.
