Review of King Jack (2015) by Alfin N — 17 Jun 2016
A phenomenal drama, this coming-of-age tale is true to life in a way that makes you feel as if you're watching a documentary. The characters are three-dimensional, as they're well-drawn with imperfections, while the dialogue is on-point, capturing the way kids talk.
Standing above all else, however, is Charlie Plummer, who is incredibly sensitive and moving in the lead role, showing a tough outer shell to hide a scared interior, he has big things ahead of him.
