Review of Ju-on: The Grudge (2002) by Sam J — 12 Mar 2017
One of the most infamous J-horrors in cinematic history, The Grudge will have you peeking between your fingers in terror.
The film plays with the narratives of each interconnected character, all linked to the house where a great evil occurred.
But when stripped bare, the film actually explores psychology; the relationships between the parent and child, and patterns of behaviour, showing how these in turn are given to the next generation.
