A feature film adaptation of my childhood. I have seen reviews for this movie all over. Being based on a 1980's cartoon the movie leaves some of its less glamorous parts behind and updates for a newer generation.
The soul of JEM is still there. The actresses and actors do an outstanding job of keeping the movie interesting. No , it's not the JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS from the 80's but it is still JEM and the holograms just updated for real life .
Give it a chance. It is faithful to a lot of the base story from the cartoon.
