Well Jimmy Page is possibly the greatest living guitarist among us today, so the film had that going for it. I didn't really respect the Edge before the movie but he seems like a pretty level guy, and jack White is the successor to the Delta Blues genre, put them together and you get a great film.
I just wish more screen time was devoted to Jimmy Page, but I am biased on the subject.
