Haven't understood the popularity of this franchise until now: Ip excels in recreating a rougher and tougher hong kong. where morals, justice and rule of law go hand in hand with a masterful fist. the costumes, sets, overformal greetings and mcp-ness/chivalry were a blast to the past, worth revisiting.
