Review of Into the Forest (2016) by Jose Miguel G — 06 Jun 2017
The director Patricia Rozema really did a nice job with this film, especially since you don't even notice a low budget to shoot the film in order to splurge on all the little details like top quality editing, music score, casting / acting.
It's emotional presence is clearly felt as it breaths, and isn't compressed by the few mild action scenes. What I like about this was the realism in regards to a SHTF scenario. And how it portraits meaningful life being lived during survival situation.
Makes you want to drop the fear based doom and gloom idea around an apocalypse and just continue to rely on what has always mattered most. Love.
