Review of Intermission (2003) by Alex K — 09 Jun 2007
This was a great flick. I only rented it for Colm Meaney, and he kicks ass! But the movie was very good, as well, and Cillian Murphy also gives a grand performance. It's funny, moving, and gritty, and draws you in from the opening scene (in which a seemingly sweet Colin Farrell surprises a waitress) and holds you until the end.
Most people would likely skip past this little treasure, which is sad - it's better than the majority of the more mainstream junk they have nowadays.
