Review of In the Bedroom (2001) by Todd W — 18 Jul 2007
My first response was "Why bother?" this story has been done to death on TV, film and novel -- so why add more? Looking past the fairly predictable arc of the film, there are some moments of visual poetry and subtle performance.
Unfortunately, the script plods and so does the pacing. Sadly, another entry in the "Afterschool special" style of filmmaking.
