Review of I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006) by Ashton S — 27 Apr 2008
Absolutely wonderful, singularly bizarre romantic comedy about a young woman who is committed to a mental institution for believing she is a cyborg, where she meets a fellow patient who believes he can absorb the traits of others and fears one day fading away into a dot.
Together they search for the meaning of life mysteriously imparted to her by her grandmother, who believed herself to be a mouse. A wholly unique and beautiful film that is both uproariously funny and charmingly tender.
A true work of genius.
