Review of Howl (2010) by Alex H — 06 Jul 2011
It's obviously that a film about the life and work of Allen Ginsberg is fantastic. There's Jack Kerouac, there's Neal Cassady in the movie. There's the Beat Generation. But the amazing thing about this film is the combination of Allen's poems in animation, the black and white scenes, telling us parts of his life and the full color scenes about the trial and Allen talking about himself makes the movie an artistic beauty.
I was so thrilled watching it, James Franco did a great job playing Ginsberg. I have nothing to say to Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, they did a wonderful movie.
