Review of House of 9 (2005) by Lagina P — 19 Aug 2007
Made in the UK, "House of 9" is a 2005 horror film about nine people who are abducted and put into an escape-proof house and told via speakerphone that the last one left alive will win $5 million.
A little like "House on the Hill" in its raw premise, but where "House of 9" is different, and better, is that it's more of a character study and whereas the people in "House on Haunted Hill" were locked in a supposed haunted house and had to escape the ghosts - good for some cheap thrills - "9" lets the horror of human nature scare the viewer.
