Review of Hostel (2006) by Julia S — 01 Feb 2012
The gore-fest flick of a lifetime. I suspect we won't get another classic like Roth's original "Hostel" for some time to come. Not to say that this movie isn't flawed, but you have to give it up to Eli Roth for creating one of the greatest nightmares mankind will ever have the pleasure of waking up from when the credits roll.
Roth is probably the ballsiest flimmaker of all time. Give credit where credit is due. This movie should be considered a masterpiece just for it's original premise. Creativity on Roth's level is rare.
Two Thumbs Way Up!
