Forget about Greatest Sports Documentary I've ever seen... could this be the best Documentary, period, that I've eve seen? I think maybe it is. To think that a planned 30-minute doc on high school basketball could turn into such a huge project with 250+ hours of tape to edit is mind-boggling.
Extremely moving, with a story that couldn't be written for a FICTIONAL film, and characters that are extremely likable and damned admirable, 'Hoop Dreams' should be seen by everyone, whether you're a fan of basketball or not.
