Review of Holy Motors (2012) by Joe O — 08 Jan 2013
There's one scene in this that really affected me. Denis Lavant is assigned to assassinate an alternate version of himself. He kills him, puts him in his clothes, but just as he's about to leave the alternate him stabs him also.
In a really funny shot they both lie bleeding, in identical clothing, on the floor. I didn't really get it at first but it stuck with me. There are tons of scenes like this and I think this is one of those movies that you could watch one hundred times and still find something new that you didn't catch at first.
Highly recommended.
