Review of Harry Brown (2009) by Umi B — 08 Nov 2010
There have been a spate of action flicks involving aging action stars returning for 'one last hurrah' (The Expendables, RED). This is the best of them, a gritty, real and violent revenge thriller featuring an extraordinary performance from Michael Caine, who proves that acting talent does not wither with age as he plays a stooped, aging and lonely military veteran who still has some fire left in him, namely kicking the ass of an entire youth gang.
An extraordinary film, one of the best of the year by far.
