Review of Grand Prix (1966) by Alex B — 08 Mar 2007
The greatest racing movie of all time, "Grand Prix" is the most accurate and in-depth representation available of what life was like for Formula One drivers back in the dangerous ages of the 1960s.
The epic movie, if shot today using current F1 cars, would cost well over $220 million, but would never be cleared to start shooting due to the secrecy of current Formula One teams. It's an extremely long movie, but for those wishing to see how things were when the greatest drivers on the planet risked their lives at every corner racing in some of the most dangerous ways/places on Earth, it's worth it.
