Review of Gorbaciof (2010) by Mikael K — 24 Oct 2011
An old ugly man and his peculiar silent love affair with a Chinese restaurant employee. Organized crime, violence, tragedy. Gorbaciof is made of various and often subtle elements, quiet moments and slow storytelling, but is at the same time an action drama with gunfights and car races.
This is an easy film, one that flows past you quickly and simply. The presentation is very beautiful, which helps the not-so-original plot keep you in its grip. This one is pleasant but a bit pointless, beautiful but a bit forgettable.
