Review of Glen or Glenda (1953) by Ivan B — 21 Jun 2007
This film is just great. Not only in a Ed Wood "ha ha" sort of way, but in an endearing, sincere, unapologetic, and unconventional way. This film is well ahead of the cultural climate of the time, and on no budget, accomplishes some real emotional and provocative scenes.
When people ask me why I (sincerely) like Edward D. Wood Jr. and other b-movie directors, I tend to show them this, the sincerity in this.
Everything after the rape scene is unbelievable.
