Review of Gladiator (2000) by Ryan M — 16 Nov 2013
Although it presents itself in a grandiose even operatic mood, the film still finds its balance to take you deep enough to leave satisfied. With all the elements of a timeless Hollywood adventure, Gladiator is one that will not soon be forgotten.
In an often overlooked performance, Mr. Phoenix delivers some wonderful virtuoso-like nuances in his role as the conniving Commodus.
