Review of Give 'em Hell, Malone (2009) by Brad G — 27 Jan 2010
A neo-noir that tries a little too hard. The opening shoot-out is loads of fun and you get the impression that Thomas Janeâ??s Malone is one bad dude as he blasts his way through dozens of goons. However, there is a lot of iffy CGI that gets in the way, the femme fatale Elsa Pataky is tough to take, and the film loses its charm after a while.
But the rest of the supporting cast is solid with Ving Rhames playing his usual heavy and Doug Hutchinsonâ??s incredibly melted man creeping ya right out. Killshot, The Mutant Chronicles, Dark Country, and Give â??Em Hell Malone.
We need to get Thomas Jane out of the land of direct-to-dvd. VF.
