Review of Girls Trip (2017) by Ricardo P — 12 Oct 2017
Going into this movie, I expected comedy similar to what I saw in Bridesmaids, which I found to be hilarious. This film did not disappoint at all. There were multiple moments where I couldn't stop bursting into tears of laughter, which is difficult for me to experience since I have seen so many comedies.
In particular, Tiffany Haddish had a breakout performance for the ages, much greater than that of Melissa McCarthy in Bridesmaids. The storyline felt legitimate, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the conclusion.
Overall, this may be the funniest movie since the first Hangover movie.
