Review of Futurama: Bender's Big Score (2007) by David H — 25 May 2010
I was so glad to see Futurama back. There, it's out in the open. It still felt like Futurama, but more of the later matured Futurama, were the gags weren't so thick and fast yet they needed a some thought to get.
In fact just like the later series, it was definitely falling into serious sci-fi at times rather than just the sci-fi spoof it started out as. However, while they managed to tell a story well in 22 minute episodes, they couldn't stretch it for the full running time here.
It did get a bit messy and needed some work to follow at times. Despite this though, I can forgive it as it was still the Futurama I love and not a quick and easy cash-in like it could have been.
