Review of Fritz the Cat (1972) by Troy F — 24 Oct 2007
Not before or since has anyone had the balls to make an x-rated adult cartoons, but you can thank Ralph Bakshi for doing so. He made a few others as well (Heavy Traffic, American Pop), but this is his magnum opus - this provocative take on a character created by underground artist Robert Crumb is a hilarious and sometimes sobering look at the social and political turmoil of the 60's.
