Review of Frida (2002) by Ali M — 19 Jan 2008
A truly wonderful film that moves effortlessly between Frida's life and her paintings. Julie Taymor is into sumptuous productions, as is evident from Titus and Across the Universe, and Frida is no exception.
This film is amazingly beautiful to watch, and the actors are all incredible (I especially like Geoffrey Rush as Trotsky). The soundtrack is also wonderful, one of the best in any movie I've seen recently.
This movie made me want to cover my walls in her paintings.
