Review of Foxy Brown (1974) by Steve S — 10 Feb 2011
While still entertaining, this doesn't hit the marks as well as the other 2 of Grier's starring films that surrounded it (Coffy and Sheba, Baby.) Even though this is helmed by Coffy's director (Jack Hill,) it almost seems like a parody of Coffy at times, or at least a lighter-hearted take on the same kind of story.
Still entertaining, gritty 70's filmmaking with an interesting lead lady, just instead of taking out the drug pushers like in Coffy, she's out to infiltrate the prostitution business this time.
